About Thomas Stoughton of Indiana

The former president of the Indianapolis, Indiana-based Business Consulting Incorporated, Thomas Stoughton specializes in creating strategic organizational plans based on audits, surveys, and other research. Thomas Stoughton began his consulting career in the 1980s as a public policy management consultant for the municipal body known as the City–County Council of Indianapolis and Marion County.

While serving as the City-County Council’s management consultant, Mr. Stoughton helped develop the annual municipal budget of more than $1 million. Before his initial consulting position in Indiana, he worked as an associate professor of computer assisted instruction for the National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester, New York.

Active in the community, Thomas Stoughton supports various non-profit organizations and has served as chairman of the board of Progress House, an organization that assists the homeless and those struggling with substance abuse in Indianapolis. He also previously served as a board member for the U.S. Small Business Administration Advisory Council.
